It is possible to take your page or website down, for example when you close your business. Just ask.

It is not necessary to cancel your contract. After the contract period we will contact you for a renewal. If renewal is not desired the page or website will be closed.

If you buy your own domain we will be able to transfer the pages or migrate the whole website to another domain you own at any time if you wish.

It is not possible to get a refund. The fee you pay is spent on the design and hosting before or right after the page is finished. We negotiate 3 to 4 year hosting contracts, which we need to pay in advance. We do this to keep the costs low, which makes our fee affordable.

This is not possible. The whole idea is to give local businesses online presence and to give you a business webpage or website at the lowest possible costs. If you already have a website we can just put the link in the registration form, we will link to your page from the single business page and we will promote your website to generate extra traffic to your website.

So… Yes, if you have a business in South Goa you are eligible. We do not discriminate in any way and we do not force bigger businesses to pay more or to buy a more expensive package. The 1000 rupees, 4 year package is available for every local business, big or small, serving customers or guests in South Goa.

We have a strong community focus. We have created patnemlife.in, palolemlife.in, agondalife.in, margaolife.in and southgoalife.in. With these we can cover all South Goa and keep the local community focus. So … Yes, if your business fits within these geographic areas, join the platform.

Yes, it’s possible to buy the multipage website with our hosting and combine this with your own domain registration without having to buy private hosting.

Optional you can choose to register your own domain without hosting. If you would want us to register your domain this will cost INR 3,000 (three thousand rupees) extra for a 3 year contract.

The pages we build are static and we won’t put information on the page that is likely to change, such as prices, a weekly menu or special offers. We cannot change the text and pictures frequently or on a regular basis.

But the information needs to be up to date and correct so anything that you want to update can be changed without extra charge.

Even if your business name changes we will update the page/site and the URL on your request. Inform us of new contact details or opening hours via email or WhatsApp.

South Goa Life is a project with a strong social and community sense and aims to balance profit and purpose. We keep our costs low and prices as affordable as possible.

We share the costs of building the platform and keeping the platform with all the pages up and running with as many business owners possible.

We do not aim to make profit with this project. Founders and project managers are not paid for their contribution.

We coach and train local young professionals into becoming web developers and entrepreneurs. They learn on the job, are paid for their work and gain valuable, important work experience.

The local webdesigners will get the opportunity to develop and sell other more complex products and to offer other services to customers from their own businesses.

We are not a charity organisation, we do not accept funding and we cannot accept monetary donations. We do offer the possibility to donate a page though!

You can donate a page to a business who cannot afford to buy one.

In principle yes, we can make a multipage website with one page for each business. Of course the number of pages should stay within reason. This is the advantage of a multipage website. This fits in the INR 5,000 package.

If then you want to have single business pages per business, having them listed in different categories or in different communities, this will cost INR 1,000 per page extra.

If you actually want a more complex website, with multiple pages per business, we can sit down and discuss the possibilities of a custom private domain website. It is even possible to buy one main domain and hosting package and build different business websites within it. If then you also want different domains registrations, i.e. different website names, this is also possible and costs a little extra. Contact us for a nice chat over chai about your online plans.

Yes you can join. We can inform your visitors about seasonal opening hours and temporary closing weeks or months at you page.

We cannot close the page temporarily or take the page or site down during low season. If we need to close the page or website you will have to buy anotherher package for a new to be created page or website if you wish so.

We cannot give discount to the already very low introductory price.

For a single business page the costs are INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees) for a period of 4 years of hosting the page. The designing and building of the page both are included.

A multipage website costs INR 5,000 (five thousand Indian rupees) for a period of 4 years of hosting the page. The designing and building of the page both are included.

You can get your own domain and domain connected email address with your multipage website from INR 15,000 (fifteen thousand Indian rupees) for a period of 3 years of hosting the website. The designing and building of the page both are included.

You will get, depending on the chosen package, a professionally built and fully functioning webpage or website. Including information such as: About us, What we offer, Where to find us (map), Contact us.

A unique link to your page or website is created and for you to use in your marketing and communication.

You will also get a listing with your business name, picture, inspiring text and a link to your individual business webpage at any of your preferred community pages (i.e. Patnem, Palolem, Agonda, South Goa, …) in your preferred business category/categories (i.e. Eat, Sleep, Shop, Services, …).

We cannot guarantee the low price for the packages will forever stay the same.

We are now very much focussed on providing the small local businesses with the most affordable online presence.

We might at a certain point, after we have provided for the smallest businesses, increase the price for new businesses who can afford a little bit higher price.

We will not increase the price for existing customers. This means renewing an existing contract will only reflect a possible price increase if hosting costs have risen considerably.

We build static webpages and websites. This means the content is fixed and the pages display the same content for every visitor. We do not build dynamic webpages. User interaction is limited although in the future we might add interactive elements without extra costs.

The technical and practical difference is that a webpage is a single document on the internet under a unique URL. In contrast, a website is a collection of multiple webpages in which information on a related topic or other subject is linked together under a domain address.

With a website containing multiple webpages your visitors can navigate to the topics you want to promote and the information you want to publish. You can have different pages for example for your menu, the different services you provide, the different packages you sell, different pages for the types of rooms with details and pictures, pages explaining facilities, etc.

Basically a website means more space for more pictures, text and videos and we can customise the website with your own branding, your logo, your own colours, and more.

The minimum details we need are your contact details and the payment. Of course we will not use these details for any other purpose than to contact you and get paid for the desired package.

We will then contact you and we can visit you and your business if you want us to collect all other information in person and take pictures of you and your business. Please give as much information/details as you can if you want to speed up the process of building your page/website.

You can also fully register online. It’s easy to provide us with the information you want published in the registration form and you can send us extra text and pictures via WhatsApp or email. Please mention your business name when sending us text or pictures. We will do the copywriting, so don’t worry about the text, just send us as much information you want to be published on your business page.

We will only use the data you want to publish on your own business page and website. We will not use any of your data for commercial purposes, we will not sell your data to anybody, we will not spam you with email. Our full privacy statement can be found on the website.

We feel there are multiple needs in South Goa.

Most local small businesses cannot afford to have a professional webpage or website built.

There is a lack of information for visitors and guests, as well as for residents, who are looking to spend their money locally and who are searching online for information about anything ranging from a nail studio, barber, an AC mechanic, a good cup of coffee, the best food, the cheapest car with driver, a 24 hour open pharmacy, etc.

There are no local webdesign agencies to build affordable webpages and websites.

Many young local Goans do not have a job, are willing and eager to learn but just cannot make the first step in becoming webdesigner, a freelance professional or an entrepreneur.

Our objectives to address these needs mentioned above are:

• Improve the livelihood of local small business owners and grow their business by providing professional online presence at the lowest possible costs.
• Make the life of South Goan residents, visitors and guests easier with a platform to find every product & service they need and purchase locally.
• Coach young Goans in becoming tech savvy entrepreneurs and web developing professionals.

We keep the costs low by negotiating long term contracts and paying for hosting fully in advance. We share the costs and the discounts with all participants.

The actual costs of a short term contract are double the costs of a long term contract. If you really only want a 1 year contract this is possible for the single page package. We will charge you 500 rupees per year for the single page package. (The introduction price of the single page package is 1,000 rupees for a period of 4 years of hosting the page).
